Video Sampler #2 – Bokeh Effect

Here’s another 10 second sampler on the Bokeh Effect.  What does that mean?  Well, it’s a way of describing the quality of blur on those items in the picture or video that aren’t in focus.  It’s purpose is to create a dream-like effect or really zoom in on the subject, focusing on what’s important for a particular camera shot or angle.  It can be particularly useful when lights are in the background as it creates a haze around the different colors.

Here’s my impression of the Bokeh Effect as it relates to dreaming.  As you watch it, notice the in and out focus on the subject(s).  I chose to use a wooden figure that comes from Germany, as well as a Fairy House made locally by an artisan.
